SeaWorld San Diego is seeking engaging, comedic, family friendly pathway performers for our upcoming holiday events.


Audition Requirements
•Please prepare a one minute family-friendly comedic monologue.
•Be prepared to perform a character improv and/or read from a provided script.

Audition Date: Saturday, August 5th, 2017
Audition Time: 10:00AM
Audition Location: Kurtz Rehearsal Facility- 3505 Hancock Street, San Diego, CA 92110

Halloween Performers
Seeking performers to portray DJ Rock Candy, members of SeaWorld's spooky school of fish, Tabitha Taffy and many other fun characters for SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular Event. All performers will get to party on the dance floor and engage with guests throughout the months of September and October to create lasting memories and fun for the whole family!

Halloween Rehearsal Dates
Starting August 21st (subject to change)

Halloween Show Dates
September 23, 24, 30 & October 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29

Christmas Performers
Seeking performers to portray the merry citizens of Santa's Christmas Village. We are looking for elves of all shapes and sizes to interact with guests and perform in our nightly tree lighting ceremony. In addition, we are seeking a performer who exudes warmth and charm to portray Mrs. Claus.

Christmas Rehearsal Dates
Starting November 1st (subject to change)

Christmas Show Dates
November 17th-January 1st (includes Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas & New Year's Eve)

Basic Job Functions & Principle Duties
•Executes pre and post show duties as outlined in the daily schedule.
•Openly accepts performance feedback and adapts accordingly.
•Assists with trainings, choreography, blocking, and stage direction as needed.
•Consistently and expertly executes stage direction and show content as directed by leadership.
•Maintains cleanliness of all assigned work areas.
•Maintains a safe work environment and safety requirements.
•Maintains a positive and flexible attitude.
•Positively interacts with guests, employees and others.
•Models company trainings related to guest interactions and animal areas.
•Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
•Cast and performs in SeaWorld shows as assigned.
•Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Education & Training
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Must be able to positively interact with park guests and team members of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
•Must have strong verbal communication skills.
•Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
•Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•Must be able to meet work group’s availability.
•Audition requirements may also include dance, movement, script reading and memorization, role playing, comedic improvisation, miming, singing and instrumental music as necessary.
•Previous experience in the field of dance, theater, athletics or other performance arts required.
•Headshot and resume preferred.

Rehearsal pay rate - $18.00/hour.
Show pay rate - $25.00/hour.
Status - Seasonal / Special Assignment
