SeaWorld San Diego is casting the jolly old elf himself, Santa Claus! We are looking for friendly, outgoing, gregarious performers that can convincingly embody the spirit of Christmas. Performers must be great with kids, be able to sit for long periods of time,
and be able to sustain the “magic” of Santa.


Role Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Beards are preferred, but not required
• Please prepare a one minute, family-friendly monologue or Christmas story.
• You may also be asked to perform an improvised piece.

Audition Date: Saturday, August 5th 2017
Audition Time: 3:00PM
Audition Location: Kurtz Rehearsal Facility - 3505 Hancock Street
San Diego, CA 92110

Rehearsal Dates
Starting November 1st (Subject to change)

Show Dates
November 17th-December 24 (includes Thanksgiving & Christmas Eve)

Basic Job Functions & Principle Duties
•Executes pre and post show duties as outlined in the daily schedule.
•Openly accepts performance feedback and adapts accordingly.
•Assists with trainings, choreography, blocking, and stage direction as needed.
•Consistently and expertly executes stage direction and show content as directed by leadership.
•Maintains cleanliness of all assigned work areas.
•Maintains a safe work environment and safety requirements.
•Maintains a positive and flexible attitude.
•Positively interacts with guests, employees and others.
•Models company trainings related to guest interactions and animal areas.
•Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
•Cast and performs in SeaWorld shows as assigned.
•Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Education & Training
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Must be able to positively interact with park guests and team members of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
•Must have strong verbal communication skills.
•Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
•Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•Must be able to meet work group’s availability.
•Audition requirements may also include dance, movement, script reading and memorization, role playing, comedic improvisation, miming, singing and instrumental music as necessary.
•Previous experience in the field of dance, theater, athletics or other performance arts required.
•Headshot and resume preferred.

Rehearsal pay rate - $18.00/hour.
Show pay rate - $25.00/hour.
Status - Seasonal / Temporary Assignment
